What is MemoRift?

MemoRift is an Oculus Rift project in development that aims to recreate a virtual room from the 80s-90s complete with an old PC, some 8 and 16 bit game consoles, game magazines, arcade cabinets, and old cartoons, the idea is to build a framework which can be used by anyone to easily create their own room based on their own memories and interests.

 

About the Author

My name is Roy Lazarovich, I’m a Software Developer, 3D Modeler and Animator, and an avid retro gamer, I’ve started using computers at the age of 7 on an IBM 286 XT and literally grew up alongside computers, I’ve started programming at a very young age in BASIC and are still happily programming to this day. Other then the above-mentioned PC, I’ve also had an Atari 2600, an original Gameboy, several Famicom clones, a SEGA Mega Drive, two Gameboy Advances (Original and SP), two Nintendo DSs, a PSP, a Dingoo A320, and most recently I’ve been playing classic adventure games (my favorite genre) on my JXD S7300 android-based gaming tablet. other then that, I’ve been active during the BBS era and have very fond memories of that time, I’ve also been a Sysop of two BBSes.
